EasyDream Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 10, 2026
Summary
EasyDream is designed to work entirely on your device. We do not operate a backend server for the app, and we do not collect, store, or sell your personal data.
What data the app handles, and where it lives
Stored only on your device (via Android's local app storage, never sent anywhere by us):
- Your sound mixer presets (names and volume levels you choose to save)
- Whether you've completed the onboarding screens
- Your bedtime reminder preference and chosen reminder time
- Your listening statistics (how long you've played each sound), used only to show you your own stats in Settings
Uninstalling the app deletes this data. We have no way to access it, because it never leaves your device.
Notifications
If you turn on the bedtime reminder, EasyDream schedules a local notification on your device at the time you choose. This uses Android's notification system directly — no message is sent to or from any server to make this happen.
Advertising
EasyDream shows a small banner ad at the bottom of the screen, served by Google AdMob. Ads are requested as non-personalized: the app does not use your advertising ID and does not ask AdMob to tailor ads to you. AdMob still processes some basic technical data (like your general location from IP address, device type, and app context) to serve and measure even non-personalized ads — that's Google's own processing, not something we receive or store ourselves. See Google's privacy policy for details: https://policies.google.com/privacy
What we don't do
- No account creation or sign-in
- No purchases, subscriptions, or payment processing of any kind — the app is fully free
- No analytics SDKs
- No access to your microphone, camera, contacts, or location
- No sharing or selling of any data to third parties beyond the ad SDK disclosed above
Permissions the app requests, and why
- Notifications — used for the optional bedtime reminder, and to show the playback controls while a sound mix is playing.
- Foreground service / media playback — needed so your sound mix keeps playing when you lock your screen or switch apps.
- Ignore battery optimizations (optional, asked separately in Settings) — some phones pause background audio or hide the playback notification to save battery; this permission prevents that. You can decline it and the app still works, playback may just be less reliable in the background on some devices.
